Brijuni Archipelago is along the south-western coast of the Istrian peninsula, close by Pula. It is the only national park in Istria and consists of 14 islands rich of inlets, lagoons, cliffs, meadows and woods: a charming landscape scattered of the remains of Roman and Byzantine villas, ancient fortifications, ruins of Romanesque churches and monasteries, and fallow deer, mouflons, deer, peacocks and more than 150 different species of birds live in liberty. |
